Plume Watcharapon - Ekkamai is a three-story townhouse project with a 5-meter width, designed to feel more like a "home" rather than a typical townhouse. The client’s vision was to create a private, cozy space disconnected from the outside world, embodying the warmth and intimacy of a true home. The design centers around calmness, warmth, and a connection to nature. The ground floor serves as a transition space, conceptualized as a “Veranda.” It seamlessly connects the interior with the backyard garden, creating a sense of openness and lightness. The focus on this floor is the large dining table, which anchors the space and embodies simplicity and community. Moving up to the upper floors, the atmosphere transforms into “Warm Minimal,” prioritizing tranquility, focus, and relaxation. These levels house the working and bedroom areas, designed to foster a peaceful retreat. Material selection plays a key role in achieving this vision, emphasizing textures with depth and tactile quality. Elements such as lime wash, raw cast iron, and oiled wood finishes were chosen to create a minimalistic yet rich and dimensional aesthetic, resulting in a spacious, cozy, and authentically homely atmosphere.
